Last Monday we met together again to eat and get to know each other, with Tim, who originally set up and led the boiler room, coming to share on his experiences, particularly looking out the out working of mission within the community.

Sharing from Corinthians 12 he shared with us how the words resonated with him and he saw both the great and exciting things God had done, but also the difficult and hard things that have happened.  He particularly highlighted these verses; “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

There is a really buzz behind 24-7 Prayer and Boiler Rooms, particularly with the book Red Moon Rising still inspiring and exciting people.  There are great stories and amazing answers to prayer, but there are also stories of hardship, of difficulties and unanswered prayer.

We are thankful to Tim for bringing the reality of being part of the Boiler Room to us.

If you’re interested in finding out more and getting more involved in the Boiler Room community then don’t miss our meal on the 18th June, 7pm at the Boiler Room.  We’ll be eating together and hearing from Tim who lead the Boiler Room team for its first three years.  He’ll be sharing with us on the original vision of the Boiler Room, his experiences and how mission fits in to the Boiler Room community.  There’ll be plenty of time to chat and ask questions during the evening.

We look forward to seeing anyone who would like to come along, we do ask that you let us know so that we have an idea of numbers.

“We’re not interested in creating more meetings, we’re interested in eating together more, so much so we’re beginning to get teased about it!” Andy came to share with us about being Boiler Rooms and the heart of being a prayer community. Andy has a great gift of expressing the heart of Boiler Rooms simply and accessibly, which I guess comes from his journey over the last 6 years or so. It’s challenging to see this as an intentional lifestyle rather than a project we are doing. I love the idea of the Boiler Room coming out of relationships, born and fed around the dinner table and lived out in the every day.
