For me it’s 3 1/2 months since I joined the Boiler Room community and I’m finding with each step forward we seem to end up with more questions.  Questions as simple as “Does Englefield Green need a Boiler Room?” though to the practical “what does Englefield Green need from a boiler room?” and the simple “who’s going to be part of this?” (more…)

Maundy Thursday I headed up to visit friends of the Boiler Room; The Community of St Jude. Tom and Joanna have been a great encouragement and inspiration to us as they try and build something similar to the Boiler Room up in London. Joe and I went up to start Lent with them on Ash Wednesday for a short service and meal and it seemed appropriate to be there with them again as Lent drew to a close in the culmination of celebrating Jesus’ salvation work on the cross. It’s always a good question to ask. Questions are always a good place to start; Why am I here? What am I doing? Why am I not wearing any socks?

For us hear in the Boiler Room community this is a season for questions. Questions for each other, questions for God, questions for other Christians, questions for other people living around us.

Why does this area need a Boiler Room?

What makes us unique?

What has God called us to be?

Keep asking questions, keep seeking answers.
